SINGAPORE’S flag carrier Singapore Airlines debuted its Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner flight to Denpasar, Bali earlier this week.
“We’re proud to showcase our next generation of regional cabin products on our 787-10s,” Singapore Airlines general manager for Indonesia Edwin Chiang said in a statement.
“The development of the new products is a result of several years of work involving customer research and partnerships with our designers and suppliers.”
The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is the newest and longest member of the super-efficient 787 family. It has been described as “a magnificent piece of engineering” built with “exceptional operating efficiency and advanced technology” by Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong.
Singapore Airlines ordered a whopping total of 49 planes, the largest buyer of the jet.

Singapore Airlines is the first airline in the world to operate the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.
The plane is 10 percent more fuel efficient than the “best of its competition”, according to Boeing.

It has a total of 336 seats with a 1-2-1 and 3-3-3 seating configuration for business and economy class respectively.
In business class, the seat folds down to a fully-flat bed that’s 1.9 meters from head to heels.
Business class seats are also padded with Alacantra, the same material used for luxury sports cars and yachts.

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner boasts windows that are around 30 percent bigger than those on the average plane.
All passengers will appreciate the customizable lighting preferences with large electronically dimmable windows.
Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner planes will be used for regional flights of up to eight hours.
Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines was recently voted one of the best airlines of 2018 by passenger compensation service AirHelp.
The company ranked 72 international airlines for which the company had statistically significant data.
