Following the recent announcement on the reopening of Cape Town Ziplines, Southern Africa 360 Exclusive Tours, SA Forest Adventures and Constantia Valley Tourism have partnered to create a new day tour that aims to bring wine and adventure lovers, as well as new visitors into the Constantia Valley in the Western Cape, The Constantia Valley Zip and Sip.
Constantia Valley Tourism has welcomed Southern Africa 360 into its community to work alongside the renowned wine farms in the area, exposing all the region has to share.
The Constantia Valley Zip and Sip tour takes guests on an adventure through the heart of Constantia Valley. Visitors soar above the fynbos as they complete their zipline course at Silvermist Estate in Constantia, followed by two wine tastings at two award-winning estates in Constantia Valley, the oldest wine producing region in the Southern hemisphere.
The tour begins with a brief safety introduction and demonstration at Southern Africa 360’s office. Guests then depart on a guided 4×4 drive into the mountains, high above Constantia, taking in the view of the valley below.
Guests will then embark on their zipline journey of 11 platforms and seven long cables, towering high in the mountains, overlooking the City of Cape Town. Guests then begin their descent on one of the shorter cables, measuring 270 metres long. They will also have the opportunity to explore the mountains on foot before they return to the base by 4×4 vehicles.
From there they go on to the wine tasting part of the tour at nearby estates, and then get dropped off at their accommodation, or at a recommended lunch or sunset/dinner venue.
There are several pick-up points to choose from. For those staying closer to Cape Town’s city centre, Southern Africa 360 Exclusive Tours has arranged for pick-up from the CBD, V&A Waterfront and the Atlantic Seaboard area. Guests staying in the southern suburbs can be picked up from Constantia, Bishopscourt and Tokai areas.
The tour takes four hours and guests can either be picked up at 08h30 and dropped off at 13h30, or picked up at 13h30 and dropped off at 17h30.
The day tour is ideal for travelling couples, families or corporate groups.
