The South Australian government has struck a deal with China Southern Airlines to introduce direct flights from Adelaide to Guangzhou three times a week. The service will commence in December 2016.
Damien Kitto, chief executive officer of the Adelaide Convention Bureau said, “Adelaide’s offering of an abundance of fresh food including some of the best seafood in the world, premium wine, ease of accessibility and convenience with an enviable environment and lifestyle has proven popular with the Chinese market.”
South Australia produces about 80 percent of the country’s premium wines and is home to some of the world’s most recognizable wine regions, which will potentially attract Chinese visitors.

From early December, Hainan Airlines will commence their first-ever non-stop service between Las Vegas and Beijing. The route will run three times a week.

The historic Malaysian state of Malacca will soon receive its first direct flight from Guangzhou, a service that will potentially pull in many Chinese tourists.
From September 29, two fights daily will be introduced, with the flight frequency increasing in the future if demand rises.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron said that Malacca hopes to draw in millions of Chinese tourists while also encouraging locals to holiday in China. Meanwhile, the state government will request for the federal government to provide e-Visa facilities at Batu Berendam.
