TRAVEL agency JTB Corp. has launched a package that allows non-Japanese tourists to hold wedding ceremonies atop the magical Mount Fuji, the highest peak in Japan.
The two-day “Wedding Above Clouds” tour will be held at Komitake Shrine on the mountain’s fifth station, located 2,340 meters above ground level. The wedding party will also be able to take in views of the five lakes surrounding the mountain.
Plus, the bride will get a chance to wear a kimono at the ceremony, and have her makeup and photography sorted by the agent.

The couple and guests will be put up in a luxury Japanese-style hotel on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, where the views of the mountainous range are sweeping.
The all-in-one price of the tour is ¥450,000 (US$4,442) and includes chauffer service to and from Tokyo, accommodation, and ceremonial and shrine costs.
The tour is only offered until October 30.
