I often hear that logging is the most dangerous job in the world. After watching this video though I question that. This is Pi, a Laotian woman who has been working for a UK-based mines discovery group, finding and dismantling bombs that were dropped by the US during the Vietnam war. Around 80 million of the over 270 million bombs that were dropped over Laos (to cut off North Vietnamese supply lines) remain active and unexploded, and have caused tens of thousands of deaths since the war. Only 1% of those have been recovered. I hope she gets paid well.
