After spending a few days in Tokyo, one of my favorite cities, it was time to move on and see what else Japan had to offer. After a 2.5-hour bullet train ride that really flew by, I arrived in Osaka ready to explore all the sights and sounds of the former capital of Japan. If you have a flexible schedule, consider going during peak cherry blossom season — the views are unbeatable. But, the blossoms aren’t all this great city has to offer — the gastro scene and views from above also make it worth a visit.
