Today is Veteran’s Day, and Americans from coast to coast reflect on the selfless service of all American veterans who served their country in order to protect the freedoms that we hold so dear. To honor our troops, we wanted to bring you a crazy aviation video that is a testament to the ceaseless hard work and dedication of the United States Air Force pilots who train day after day to develop the skills needed to command some of the world’s most advanced and complicated machines.
In today’s video, we see jets from both the UK’s Royal Air Force and the United States Air Force making low passes through gorgeous valleys in the Welsh countryside. This location is known to planespotters as CAD West — it’s a series of valleys in Wales that are part of the Mach Loop, an area that both the US and the UK use to train Air Force pilots in low-level flying techniques on a variety of aircraft including the US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles. It’s a stunning video — several minutes of some of the fastest and most advanced aircraft to ever grace this planet flying extremely low over rolling green mountains and valleys.
Thank you to all veterans of the USAF and all other branches of military for your tireless dedication to protecting the ideals of the US both at home and abroad.
