Official Chase Sapphire Reserve Application: Link
Earlier this week, Chase (finally) launched the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card. If you managed to get an agent to confirm expedited shipping (which, officially, was not available), you may already have your card in hand — as I now do myself. To maximize the 3x points on dining while celebrating the Reserve card’s arrival, the TPG team headed to a NYC pizzeria for lunch today. And, given the immense excitement surrounding this card (and the fact that the Reserve card’s packaging differs quite a bit from Chase Sapphire Preferred), we decided to film an unboxing video, which you can check out below.
We’ve received many questions from readers — primarily focused on the benefits, but quite a few folks have asked about the card’s construction and weight. The Reserve weighs half an ounce, matching the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Both are made of metal, and (since I know you’re probably wondering), they make exactly the same sound when used to tap a dinner glass. So, in that regard, little has changed, though there are plenty of feature-related differences to note, as we detail in our post, Chase Sapphire Preferred vs. Chase Sapphire Reserve: Benefits, Coverage & More.
