Come June 12, 2018, world leaders US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un will meet for the first time, a historical gathering of the two.
Kim Jong Un will travel a significant distance out of his comfort zone (Singapore is 4,828km from Pyongyang) on his Soviet-made long-range craft, the Ilyushin-62, and Trump will travel even further on the Air Force One, the US President’s plane.
Both are expected to land at Singapore’s Paya Lebar Air Base, a military airbase of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, due to security reasons.

It remains to be seen what the outcome of the forthcoming meeting will be, as both leaders are notoriously unpredictable, but Kim Jong Unit would be a positive step towards a “good future” on the Korean Peninsula.
It is also hoped that there will be successful talks about the complete denuclearization of the peninsula and a formal peace treaty to end the Korean War.
Here are some of the likely venues for the Trump-Kim historic handshake:

Also, Mr. Adelson happens to be one of Trump’s mega-donors, having donated to Trump’s campaign for president.
The billionaire flushed a whopping total of US$25 million just a week before the US’ 2016 election day.
Perhaps Trump would want to pay it forward by holding the meeting there and giving the hotel priceless international publicity?
Luxury five-star hotel Shangri-La as a top contender is a no-brainer.
Located just a couple of minutes away from Singapore’s bustling shopping central, Orchard Road, Shangri-La Hotel could be the perfect hideaway for a high-profile meet to happen.

For the uninitiated, the dialogue is region’s most important defense forum attended by heads of state, defense ministers, and high-level military officials.
