Thomas Cook Airlines will begin year-round service between New York and its Manchester hub in the U.K. on Dec. 14.
The thrice-weekly flight will be the first year-round operation offered by Thomas Cook to the U.S. The flight will augment the daily summer service that Thomas Cook is flying this summer between New York and Manchester.
The carrier will fly the routes with an Airbus A330-200 featuring an economy and premium economy class. Standard tickets, which include a free checked bag, meals and inflight entertainment, start at $209 one-way.
Thomas Cook will compete on the route with American, Delta, Virgin Atlantic and Pakistan International Airlines.
Thomas Cook Group, which also includes the Condor Airlines, serves 17 U.S. destinations, mostly on seasonal summer routes. Condor flies two year-round routes to the U.S. from Frankfurt — one to Seattle and the other to Las Vegas.
