This man from a previously uncontacted tribe in Peru explains the trauma of being discovered

FOR MANY OF THE Matsés people in Peru’s Amazon, life was better before contact. In this video, watch a man from the tribe describe his nostalgia for the way things were before his tribe was discovered. He also urges people to reconsider their relationship with oil companies who are at times responsible for the discovery of previously uncontacted tribes, causing dramatic and oftentimes unwanted changes to their way of lives.
