FOUR SEASONS HOTELS AND RESORTS will debut in South Korea’s Jeju Island as part of Jeju Shinhwa World, a massive resort and entertainment development that will also feature a casino, retail spaces, a theme park, and a K-pop entertainment center.
“Korea is an important market for luxury leisure and business travelers. We are pleased to be extending our presence with a new resort experience on Jeju Island to complement our urban property in Seoul,” Four Seasons Hotels and Resort president and CEO J. Allen Smith said in a statement.
Jeju Shinhwa World – which has been opening in phases since the start of the year – is a tourist complex that’s “set to be one of the most popular leisure and entertainment destinations in northeast Asia”.
The island of Jeju attracted close to 16 million visitors last year and is expected to grow steadily for years to come.
