SINGAPORE AIRLINES (SIA) has launched a rewards program for SMEs of up to 30 traveling employees to get more mileage out of business trips.
With earned points, corporates and companies are free to use them on future travel where tickets can be bought with points in full or partially with the balance topped up in cash.
SIA senior vice-president sales and marketing Campbell Wilson said: “The Singapore Airlines HighFlyer program highlights the airline’s commitment to constantly enhance the benefits for our corporate clients and business travelers.”
Singapore’s flagship carrier recorded a “surprise loss” in May for the first time in three years with stocks plunging as much as six percent.
To recover, chief executive officer Goh Choon Phong is said to be boosting borrowings to facilitate a record US$53 billion order for new planes.
Goh said the group would take “bold radical actions”, including setting up a “dedicated transformative as well as organizational structure and processes.
