IN a new study that analyzed the behavior and preferences of Indian travelers, it was revealed that 95 percent of Indians prioritize the size of rooms when booking hotels.
Location and affordable prices were also important to them, the survey results proved. Expectedly, complimentary WiFi also ranked highly in the list.
Manmeet Ahluwalia, marketing head of the Expedia brand in India, said, “It is interesting to note that 89 percent Indians consider hotel reviews as very or somewhat important while choosing a hotel.
As Indian travellers are evolving, 77 percent consider the ability to earn and redeem reward points on their bookings as important.”
It was also found that Indian travelers don’t compromise on satisfaction when it comes to hotel rooms. 60 percent of respondents said they would switch rooms for various reasons, some which include unclean washrooms, unpleasant smells, and uncomfortable beds.
Noisy neighbors, bad views, and rooms being too close to the elevator are also reasons Indian travelers would request for a room switch.
