IT now seems an indisputable fact Singapore’s Changi Airport is the most loved airport in the world, as it has once again bagged the top prize at the recent Skytrax World Airport Awards.
“This recognition affirms our service belief which we have held steadfast all these years – putting passengers at the heart of all we do,” Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said.
Changi is widely known among travelers for its entertainment, art, shopping mall, and sophisticated features, surpassing expectations of airport facilities in general.
For instance, those waiting in transit can catch a free flick at the airport “cinema”, enjoy a massage, sip on a poolside cocktail, witness art installations, or trawl the nature and orchid gardens.
Coming in second in the list is Tokyo’s Haneda, which also bagged the title of World’s Cleanest Airport.
Incheon International Airport, Hong Kong International Airport and Hamad International Airport also made the top 10.
Travelers and airport customers of over 105 nationalities rated their overall experiences from check-in through to the departure gates.
