THE Singapore Tourism Board will organize a range of technology-focused MICE events this year with the aim of molding Singapore into a technology thought leader.
The series of business events will cover knowledge-driven sectors such as information and medical tech, while events will range from renowned meeting brands to debuts of regional conventions in Singapore.
Two upcoming tech events focusing on the internet and cyber security will mark the pinnacle of events in the field of IT. The ISACA Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) Asia Pacific will be held in November this year, and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) 100 meeting will take place in November 2017.
It’s estimated that both events will drive in about 2,500 IT engineers and developers from the world over into Singapore to explore new developments in internet framework and cyber security.
According to TTR Weekly, Singapore was identified as the top international meeting city of 2015 by the Union of International Associations (UIA) for the ninth consecutive year.
Singapore Tourism Board deputy chief executive Melissa Ow said, “We must stay ahead of the competition by constantly evolving our destination offerings and take the Singapore MICE visitor experience to the next level.”
