Ever since the full stretch of the 51km Sungai Buloh-Kajang line opened on Jul 17, RapidKL reported a slew of incidents involving vandalism and misuse of the multibillion dollar public transport system.
The damages have resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damages, with RapidKL taking to social media to show examples of such bad behavior on its coaches and stations.
As quoted by the New Straits Times,a spokesman from RapidKL said the campaign was aimed at promoting civic awareness for train users.
“It is heartening (for us) to receive such feedback from the public and we believe this has generated so much awareness,” the spokesman said.
“We hope the public’s social etiquette will be improved, not only when using the public transportation but also when they use any public facilities.”
