New owner plans refit at Wakulla Suites in Cocoa Beach

Westgate Resorts has acquired the Wakulla Suites in Cocoa Beach, Fla., and plans to begin a renovation of the 120-room property in the midsummer.

Upgrades are slated for all guestrooms, public spaces and the pool area at the beachfront all-suite resort, the company said.

With the purchase, Westgate now runs 26 resorts nationwide. Wakulla Suites is located on A1A, one mile south of Cocoa Beach Pier, and offers easy access to Port Canaveral.

The hotel will remain open during renovations.
