Giraffe Manor, which is owned by The Safari Collection and part of the Classic Portfolio properties, is upgrading its accommodation facilities.
The Main Manor originally had five rooms and a family room – two Standard Rooms, the Marlon and Lynn; three Superior Rooms, the Betty, Daisy and Jock; and the Karen Blixen Superior Suite.
Upgrades to the Marlon and Lynn and Karen Blixen Suite mean that there are now ten Superior Rooms, one Family Suite – the Finch Hatton; and one Superior Family Suite, which now has two bedrooms with a shared terrace and lounge.
Giraffe Manor is in the Langata suburb of Nairobi, in 12 acres of private land in the 140-acre giraffe sanctuary. It is known for its herd of resident Rothschild giraffes, who live in the nearby indigenous forest, and sometimes visit the Manor.
The Manor offers guided walks in the sanctuary, visits to the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife’s Giraffe Centre, the Karen Blixen and Nairobi Museums, and the nearby Matbronze Art Gallery and Foundry.
New bookings are applicable from July 1, and include transfers.
