Meliá Hotels International has announced the imminent opening of the Meliá Iguazu, the only hotel located in the heart of Iguazu National Park in Argentina.
The location is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The hotel’s namesake, the Iguazu Falls, are comprised of over 270 waterfalls, which reach heights of 80 metres.
The Devil’s Throat waterfall formation marks the border between Argentina and Brazil, attracting visitors from both countries.

The waterfalls are the most popular attraction in the Northeast of Argentina, attracting large numbers of tourists.
The rebranding of this hotel as a Meliá is a move by the Spanish hotel company to strengthen its presence in Argentina: it already operates two hotels in Buenos Aires: Meliá Recoleta Plaza and Meliá Buenos Aires.
