Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has reappointed Think Strawberries as its representative in India. The company will function as a liaison body in implementing the destination’s PR strategy in respective markets for a period of one year.
This decision was fuelled by the organisation’s objective of strengthening the destination image in the Indian market to increase footfalls to the country. The appointment of a PR Agency in a huge source market like India will reinstate its presence and will help to identify and implement suitable marketing strategies.
Shikha Mishra, PR & Media Manager, MMPRC office in India, said, “We are proud to be reappointed for the third year as the India representative office of MMPRC. We will continue to promote Maldives in the India market with consumer and trade-targeted activities to increase the visitor arrivals from India to Maldives.”
There were approximately 52,000 arrivals to Maldives from India in 2015, recording a growth of 14.9% from the previous year. Currently, India is the fifth largest market for India.
