This flight, which is set to commence on January 20, 2018, marks United’s third direct route from Sydney to the U.S., with the other routes providing direct daily nonstop access to United’s West Coast hubs in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
“At United we are proud to offer our customers the world’s most comprehensive route network and this new flight helps to bolster that offering further,” said United’s Vice President of Atlantic and Pacific Sales, Marcel Fuchs.
“We are committed to the Australian market and this addition is proof of that. We look forward to offering travellers flying on this route, and all of our other direct routes from Australia, with a faster and more convenient travel experience.”
The flight will also be United’s second longest route operated at 8,596 miles, just behind Singapore to Los Angeles, which will launch this October.
