OYO, India’s hotel booking service and aggregator, recently launched a new feature on their mobile app to ease hotel and accommodation bookings for corporate travelers.
The new feature – dubbed “OYO for Business” – is a new self-serve platform that caters to the needs of business travelers and directs them towards rooms with amenities such as air-conditioning, free WiFi, customer care support, and complimentary breakfast.
The launch of the feature follows a six-month period of testing and research with 1,600 companies made up of large corporations, SMEs and startups. Research suggested that companies could save up to 30 percent on hotel bookings when using the app.
The new platform will make bulk bookings more convenient for travelers, and will also aid in travel expense management. Over 4,500 companies have already signed up including Ernst & Young, AMW Motors, HCL Technologies and ITC Limited.
Kavikrut, chief growth officer of OYO said, “With strong growth outlook in the corporate travel sector, we expect this service to scale rapidly.”
Rooms are spread across 6,000 hotels in 180 Indian cities.
