Tour operators say each route will be successful as the two destinations appeal to different demographics. Jacqui Carr, Product Manager of The Holiday Factory, says Livingstone offers the quiet and serenity of the Zambian riverfront, whereas Victoria Falls offers a livelier vibe.
Operated by Embraer E190s with 12 business- class seats and 84 economy-class seats, the new flight will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It will depart Nairobi at 07h20, arriving in Victoria Falls at 09h30, departing at 10h20 to arrive in Cape Town at 13h25. The return flight will take off from Cape Town International Airport at 14h15 to arrive Victoria Falls at 17h10 and depart at 18h00 to arrive in Nairobi at 22h00.
