EMIRATES will launch their new business class seats on the new Boeing 777-300ER fleet starting November this year.
The new seat design is inspired by the interior of a modern sports car with diamond stitch patterns embossed in grey leather.
Each seat also includes an ergonomically designed head rest, a seat pitch which can be moved to a fully-flat sleeping position, a personal mini-bar, and a large personal TV screen at 23 inches.
One of the signature features is a HDMI port, which allows travelers to connect their laptop or tablet to the TV screen. This feature is expected to be popular among long-haul business travelers.
However, the airline’s 777 series features the less-spacious 2-3-2 configuration compared with the more luxurious 1-2-1 seating on the A380s.
In other news, Emirates has said it would “seriously consider” introducing a premium economy option on some of its aircrafts. Tim Clark, the president of Emirates said, “That’s not to say we are definitely going to do it, but we are looking at it.”
The group also plans to introduce a new first-class cabin on its Airbus superjumbos and Boeing 777 aircrafts.
