EMIRATES LEISURE RETAIL (ELR), a subsidiary of Emirates, has opened its first full-service outlet, The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck, at Terminal 3 of Changi Airport.
Andrew Day, group CEO at ELR, said in a statement, “The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck will offer an exceptional premium casual dining experience, enjoying his renowned signature dishes alongside items created especially for Changi, such as hot and sour soup with chicken and mushroom and Korean beef shortribs with spicy kimchi, dishes that also offer excellent value for the airport’s international passengers.”
The spacious “premium-casual” diner features a raised kitchen platform and a pizza oven, as well as a bar for travelers to indulge in a pre-flight tipple.
“Celebrity chef” Wolfgang Puck is attached to two Michelin stars for his other projects.
He said, “With two other restaurants in Singapore already, my chefs are familiar with the best in local ingredients and produce, which we will be using whenever possible on our menus to offer guests fresh and delicious dishes while on the go.”
The new restaurant is not only an additional entry to the already-diverse range of food at Changi, it also raises the bar for airport food in the region.
