Have you been trying to plan a trip to Asia? You’re in luck — Delta’s offering a flash sale on flights from select US cities to Tokyo (NRT), Seoul (ICN) and Beijing (PEK). Round-trip award tickets start at 80,000 SkyMiles + taxes and fees in the Premium Select cabin, which is the carrier’s newest cabin and class of service on it’s brand-new Airbus A350 aircraft. Plus, Delta is offering round-trip award tickets in the economy cabin from 65,000 miles + taxes and fees.
In order to take advantage, you must purchase your ticket by August 16, 2017 at 11:59pm ET. Keep in mind that you might different dates and more destinations than advertised. For example, Delta advertises just NRT, ICN and PEK as part of this sale, however, we’re seeing these discounted award tickets to other Asian cities, such as Shanghai (PVG) and Hong Kong (HKG).
Here are some examples of what you can book:
Boston (BOS) to Tokyo (NRT) for 65,000 SkyMiles + $52 round-trip in economy in January:
Los Angeles (LAX) to Hong Kong (HKG) for 65,000 SkyMiles + $69 round-trip in economy in February:

New York (LGA/EWR) to Tokyo (NRT) for 80,000 SkyMiles + $52 round-trip in Premium Select in January:
Bottom Line
Delta doesn’t publish an award chart, so there’s no telling just exactly how discounted these award sale fares are. However, if you’re thinking about taking a trip to Asia and have the SkyMiles to spend, this could be a good deal — especially if you’re eager to try out Delta’s new Premium Select seat. Even if you’re not flying to one of the listed cities, it could be worth checking to see if it’s eligible for a discounted award ticket.
If you don’t have enough SkyMiles in your account, consider signing up for one of the Delta SkyMiles credit cards from American Express to ensure you’re able to take advantage of an offer like this next time one pops up. For example, the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card comes with a sign-up bonus of 30,000 SkyMiles after you spend $1,000 in the first three months. Plus, you’ll get a $50 statement credit after you make a purchase with your card within the first three months. You’ll earn 2 miles per dollar on Delta purchases and 1 mile per dollar on everything else.
