Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using the American Express Platinum Card, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.
Wow! The Hawaii flight deals continue. Last week, we saw sub-$300 flight deals from California and a few days ago we saw ~$400 round-trip deals from AA hubs. Now, we are seeing an “attack fare” by American Airlines targeting Delta hubs, offering fares as low as $374 round-trip.
The bad news is that the dates for this excellent deal are limited. I’m only seeing the $374 round-trip pricing on departures spanning between January 16 and March 7. For those looking for an early-year mileage run: there’s no requirement for a Saturday night stay and there are even some same-day options. Start your search on Google Flights, and then you can book directly with the airline.
