Now, on the heels of the historic Brexit vote, it seems that British Airways is making some changes to its business-class product, Club World.
According to some reports, there are three major changes flyers can expect to see the next time they fly:
- A new, one-month trial with no choice of starters for main business-class meals. (Instead, the carrier will offer a tomato, mozzarella and avocado salad on flights coming from London).
- “Club Kitchen” will no longer offer ice cream as an option for in-flight snacks.
- You’ll only have access to the arrivals lounge for flights arriving before 12:00pm.
It’s no secret that British Airways’ Club World is considered to be a premium option for crossing the pond, although now it seems the product may suffer a bit — at least in the short term.
Keep in mind that you can still get great value from flying British Airways when you book tickets with the AARP discount — now through March 31, 2017, you can use your AARP membership to save $400 on Club World tickets. Even if you won’t be getting all the perks you might be used to with BA Club World, reports say that at least one of these changes may just be temporary. In the meantime, we’re hopeful that BA’s Club World will bounce back from these downgrades quickly.
