Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will reopen Paris’ iconic Hotel de Crillon on July 5 after a four-year renovation, and has started taking reservations.
Rosewood said it would provide details of the property’s upgrades at a later date.
Located on Place de la Concorde, the 147-room hotel occupies a structure that dates from 1758 and had operated as a hotel for more than a century. The hotel, Rosewood’s first in Paris, was quoting rates on Thursday starting at about $1,500 for its opening night.
Located at the foot of the Champs-Elysees, Hotel de Crillon opened in 1758 as a government building. Two decades later, it was the site where U.S. and French dignitaries signed documents recognizing the Declaration of Independence. The building opened as a hotel in 1909.
Rosewood announced that it was taking over the hotel in late 2013. The property was previously operated by Concorde Hotels.
