HOSPITALITY giant AccorHotels is now letting guests book hotel and flight packages on its brand dotcom.
According to Tnooz, the new feature will re-position the site as “the first point of contact between travelers and the AccorHotels network”.
At the moment, guests can book packages in 180 hotels in 30 destinations, including New York City and Rio de Janeiro.
Le Club members can earn points on their hotel stays, and in due time, the new feature will integrate both guests’ flight and hotel bookings for them to rake up more points.
AccorHotels senior vice-president of e-commerce and digital services Romain Roulleau told Skift, “Customers who are part of our Le Club AccorHotels loyalty program earn points on the value of the hotel from day one and will soon also earn points on the whole package value, including the flight value.”

While the feature is currently only available in France, other markets are on Accor’s agenda, including the United Kingdom. An eventual landing in Asia also cannot be ruled out.
“There are lots of destinations where we can only sell the hotel,” Roulleau said.
“But there are lots of destinations where customers are also looking for the flight, preferring a package. If consumers want this, especially for leisure destinations, we need to do this to bring the full value proposition to our consumers.”
This new integration of hotels and flights was also introduced by Marriott when the brand partnered with Expedia to power flight and hotel packages.
The feature allows users to save a few bucks when booking the two at once while also scoring Marriott Rewards points.
