Virgin Atlantic has today announced two new appointments to its senior leadership team.
The UK airline has confirmed that Juha Jarvinen will take up the position of executive vice president, commercial, from January, and Ash Jokhoo will join as new senior vice president, technology, from February.
Jarvinen brings over 20 years of aviation experience with him, and joins from Finnair where he is currently chief commercial officer.
He will be responsible for the airline’s network, revenue, and loyalty programme – including working closely with Delta Air Lines to continue to deliver the leading transatlantic joint venture, building on his deep industry expertise and insight on partnerships.
Jokhoo joins Virgin Atlantic from Centrica where he is currently chief information officer for British Gas.
He will lead the airline through its technology transformation, which will offer customers more personalised service online, through the Virgin Atlantic mobile app and at the airports the airline flies to and from around the world.
He has previously held leadership positions at TalkTalk and BT.
The new additions complete Virgin Atlantic’s leadership team following the announcement that chief executive Craig Kreeger and senior vice president, technology, Don Langford, will retire at the end of the year.
Shai Weiss, current executive vice president, commercial, and chief commercial officer, will become chief executive from January 1st.
