Six Senses Hotels & Resorts will plant its first flag in the Americas early next year with the opening of the Six Senses Botanique in Brazil.
Situated within Brazil’s mountainous Mantiqueira region, the project is a reflagging of the existing Botanique Hotel & Spa, a luxury boutique property that was constructed in 2012 using locally sourced materials.
Amenities will include a signature bar, which will serve both a traditional drinks menu and a selection of “living drinks” made with probiotics, as well as a Six Senses Spa with eight treatment rooms and a floatation pool, among other water-based therapy facilities.
Under the Six Senses fold, the property will house seven suites within its main hotel building and offer 13 private villas, each ranging in size between 1,184 to 3,230 square feet. Plans for an additional 14 private villas, which will be constructed offsite using modular building techniques and eco-friendly materials, are in the pipeline.
The Six Senses Botanique will also comprise 37 residences.
A pool, kids’ club and Earth Lab sustainability center will also be on offer.
Six Senses, which was acquired by InterContinental Hotels Group in early 2019, currently manages 16 wellness-focused hotels and resorts throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East and Africa.
In addition to the Six Senses Botanique, the brand has plans to open the Six Senses Shaharut in Israel and Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, India, in the coming year.
