Premier Hotels & Resorts’ Mpongo Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape is undergoing an R18 million (€1m) refurbishment.
Two dormitories able to accommodate 32 guests, and two lodges are being built. The five-star lodge will have six rooms with views of the reserve and the four-star lodge will have 25 rooms to accommodate conference delegates, wedding attendees, and team-building groups.
The Huberta Restaurant and Edu-Centre will be expanded and remodelled with a wildlife theme whilst encompassing conservation principles.
Additional administration offices are also being constructed.
The renovations will be carried out in a phased manner to prevent any impact on guests.
“We are thrilled to soon be unveiling our new offerings and further enhancing the guest experience within our private game reserve,” said Samuel Nassimov, Managing Director of Premier Hotels & Resorts.
The project’s completion is scheduled for the middle of the year with an official launch on September 1.
