PASSENGERS aboard Qantas need not worry about missing out on live sporting events while in the air.
The airline’s fast connection speeds enable quick streaming including Australian and international TV channels, movies, TV shows, documentaries, and a massive music catalogue.
Olivia Wirth, Qantas group executive of brand, marketing and corporate affairs at Qantas, said, “We know that email, online shopping and general web browsing will be popular uses when we switch on WiFi, but what a lot of people relish about flying is being able to catch up on their favourite TV shows or watch movies they didn’t get to see at the cinema.
“Foxtel and Netflix both have huge catalogues that are expanding all the time, so there will be no shortage of entertainment on board.”
According to AFP, the partnerships are the first of its kind across any airline and will surely see competitors jumping on the bandwagon.
Qantas is currently in talks to extend its sophisticated WiFi services across international routes.
