According to The Monitor Minister for Tourism, Godfrey Kiwanda, said hotel owners in Busoga sub-region and the rest of Uganda had done little to improve the services rendered in the industry and that poor hotel services partly explained why the country’s tourism industry was not thriving as much as it should.
The Minister added that government was committed to improving infrastructure such as roads as well as guaranteeing peace and stability. Kiwanda concluded that industry players should use the improved infrastructure to attract tourists and boost tourism.
