The customer information point is a friendly oasis of calm with cool naturals, bright accents, bespoke lighting and a subtly illuminated customer service desk.
“The whole concept was designed to create a really lovely branded space for Virgin Trains first class passengers while the disruption is going on,” said Dan Gordon, creative director at Office Twelve.
“Initial feedback from customers has been excellent.
“Great coffee, wonderful service, happy passengers.”
The renovation of Liverpool Lime Street is biggest engineering upgrade of the city’s station since it opened in 1836.
Around 20,000 people use the station during the morning rush hour, and passenger numbers are expected to double by 2043.
The construction of two new platforms meant the closure of Virgin Train’s existing lounge.
The new permanent Virgin Trains lounge, also designed by Office Twelve, is due to open this autumn.
