Natural Selection’s Jack’s Camp in the Kalahari, Botswana, will undergo a full rebuild and refurbishment, and will reopen in May 2020.
The brand-new Jack’s Camp will be rebuilt in the property’s 1940s campaign style. The guest tents, seven twins and three doubles, will be much larger – 136 sqm inside and 135 sqm outside.
The interiors will have museum-styled cabinets wood-burning morso stoves, and an overhead bed cooling system. En-suite bathrooms will have both indoor and outdoor showers and each veranda will have a private plunge pool.
The new, larger mess tent will have a museum library, antique pool table and a well-stocked drinks chest. The nomadic Persian tea tent will be bigger, whilst the swimming pool pavilion will see the addition of a sun deck. The shop will be renovated and restocked with new items and a dedicated spa tent will be added.
