A fire broke out at Gondwana’s Hakusembe River Lodge in Namibia on September 3.
It originated in a separate scullery building and spread over the lawn to the grass-roofed restroom in the swimming pool area. Staff reacted promptly and brought the fire under control.
“Our lodge is currently fully booked. We are very fortunate that our operations are not affected at all,” said Edison Kaura, Lodge Manager.
No one was injured. The cause and damage estimate have not yet been determined.
