IT’s no secret that Wyndham Hotel Group is one of the most successful hospitality brands in the world, not to mention the largest.
One of the reasons guests come back to Wyndham time and time again is the brand’s robust rewards system – a generous, award-winning program which puts the customer first.
Devaluation is too common a trend in today’s loyalty game which is why Wyndham Rewards overhauled its loyalty program in 2015 to offer a simple and attainable points-earning structure across all its brands, and revolutionised the loyalty landscape.
Members enjoy a simple, easy-to-use system where they earn points for a flat, free night redemption rate, a first for hotel loyalty programs. The program currently boasts some 46 million members, and members are eligible to redeem up to two free nights at any Wyndham property across the globe.

The go free, go fast, go get ‘em structure* is continuously popular, giving you the choice between redeeming free nights or exchanging your points for cash. This option means you’ll always feel like you’ve earned something without having to achieve a premium or VIP status. Here’s a breakdown:
- You earn a free night at any Wyndham Rewards Hotel with just 15,000 points
- You’re entitled to a fast award at any Wyndham Rewards Hotel for just 3,000 points and some cash
- You get 10 points for every dollar spent, or 1,000 points for every qualified stay, whichever is more
Your Wyndham points can also be used in places like Red Lobster and Olive Garden to turn them into gift cards, or request for a Restaurant.com gift certificate with just 2,200 points.
You can also treat yourself to golf gear at the pro shop, donate your points to organisations like the American Red Cross and Starlight Children’s Foundation, or use your points to buy a full-year subscription of your favourite magazine.
Business and frequent travellers will also be keen to use their points to redeem airline miles and car rental discounts from Wyndham partners such as Avis, Budget, and United Airlines. If you often drive in foreign cities, you can also earn up to 500 points a day if renting from Avis or Budget.
Otherwise, you could also opt for a shiny new guitar, a cutting-edge plasma TV, elegant furniture, a designer watch, toys for your kids, or Wi-Fi upgrade for your home – the choices really are endless on the brand’s merchandise shopping page*.
The newly created member levels also allow guests to enjoy more privileges with every stay. The four categories include Blue, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The highest-ranking Diamond card holder can redeem up to 6,000 bonus points every year, and can even gift a Gold membership to a relative or friend each year.

To qualify for the Diamond card, you only need to book 40 qualifying nights under any Wyndham brand to enjoy benefits such as early check-in, late check-out, welcome amenities, car rental upgrades, dedicated concierge services, and suite upgrades.
Individual guests are not the only ones who can make use of Wyndham’s attractive rewards scheme – event planners and professional conference organisers are also taken care of, a bonus at a time when the MICE travel industry is booming.
The go meet program* entitles planners to a point with every dollar spent regardless of billing method or minimum spend. The qualifying “spend” here can refer to at least ten guest rooms on one night, meeting room rental fees, or food and beverage charges.
Don’t just take our word for it – the program has been known to snag many accolades and awards for its efficiency and flexibility. This year, Wyndham Rewards unseated Marriott to claim the top spot on U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of the best Hotel Rewards Programs.
The publication praised the program, especially the fact that qualifying nights can be rolled over to the following year, making higher status easier to obtain. Special mention was also given to Wyndham’s coverage of meals, drinks, and amenities with selected free nights.
The program also clinched the Bronze Award for Best Loyalty Program – Travel and Hospitality at the Loyalty and Engagement Awards, won big at the 2016 HSMAI Adrian Awards, the Magellan Awards, the FlyerTea Awards, and the Echo Awards. The scheme also got a generous shout-out from popular TV show host Ellen DeGeneres.

As a bonus, Wyndham Rewards is also being made available in new hotels and brands launching in the South East Asia and Asia-Pacific regions, namely Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay, Ramada Bali Sunset Road Kuta, Days Hotel & Suites Jakarta Airport, Ramada Hotels & Suites Queenstown Remarkables Park, and Wyndham Legend Halong.
Accessibility, generosity, and flexibility are just some of the reasons Wyndham’s rewards program is considered by many as the best in the world. In the ideal Wyndham world, one doesn’t have to be rich or well-travelled to attain the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
