Emirates has announced three additional Dubai-Entebbe flights from June 5 to September 15, taking the total number of flights to 10. They will operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration.
John Gemin, Emirates country manager – Uganda, said the introduction of the extra flights was in response to an increase in traffic from Entebbe to Emirates’ global destinations such as Dubai, London, New York, Beijing and Guangzhou.
“Uganda is an important market for Emirates, in a region that has registered significant growth. From April 2018 to March 2019 Emirates carried over 90 000 passengers between Entebbe and Dubai, and we are committed to facilitating trade, tourism and cargo export in the years to come,” Gemin said.
The schedule for the new flights is as follows:
Flight EK731 departs from Dubai at 01h15 and arrives in Entebbe at 05h45.
The return flight, EK732, departs Entebbe at 07h15 and arrives in Dubai at 13h45.
Emirates started operations to Entebbe in March 2000, with three flights a week linked with Nairobi, and later with Addis Ababa, until 2007, when it became a direct daily service between Dubai and Entebbe.
