Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to line-up the time away.
What a year it’s been for Frontier flight sales. Once again, the low-cost carrier is offering its “penny fares” for early November travel, and although you won’t literally pay just a penny for your flight, one-way tickets begin at just $15 with all included taxes and fees.
Fares must be purchased by Wednesday, October 31 (Happy Halloween!), and are valid for nonstop domestic travel between November 2 and December 7 depending on the route, though blackout dates apply between November 16-26. Tickets must be purchased at least three days in advance, and seats are limited. Still, these fares represent a great deal for the right travelers, so if you have a few free days and want to visit someplace new for mere pocket change, this is a perfect opportunity. The easiest way to find the best dates is by using Frontier’s monthly calendar view when you search for flights on its site. When pricing out flights on Frontier Airlines, just remember to factor in the additional fees you may incur, including charges for full-size carry-on bags, checked bags and seat assignments.
