More customers are expected to receive power during the day, an official with AEE Power Authority said in an interview with El Nuevo Dia newspaper.
He explained that unlike Hurricane Maria in 2017 when consumers lost service for months due to the collapse of transmission and distribution lines, the quake affected AEE’s ability to generate electricity.
Selective blackouts could occur until AEE’s operation is leveled with the energy demand.
