ACCORHOTELS has joined forces with professional network LinkedIn to develop a new feature, “Business Check powered by LinkedIn”, aimed at creating and facilitating business opportunities.
Romain Roulleau, senior vice president for e-commerce & digital services at AccorHotels, said, “It will enrich the services we already offer on our mobile app which is used before, during and after the stay, notably by business travellers, who represent 60 percent of the app’s users.”
He added that the new feature will help to create business opportunities, facilitate and foster seamless, instinctive business travel sharing, and generate guest engagement and visibility for the line of hotels.
The feature is available on the AccorHotels app, and comes in 18 languages including Mandarin, Indonesian, Thai, Arabic and Japanese.
In September, AccorHotels also announced that the brand is attempting to tap into the millennials market by launching a new “lifestyle” hotel brand, Jo&Joe.
To cater to the target market, the brand will blend the “best of private rental, hostel, and hotel formats”, and will feature a completely reinvented experience in terms of approach, service, catering, and customer journey.
The new properties will be based in major city centers, but will aim to become part of the local community, a desire often expressed when millennials book private rentals on house-sharing sites like Airbnb.
