Wilderness Safaris has appointed Jason Glanville and Allison Bauer as the new managers for Bisate Lodge in Rwanda.
The couple worked at several game reserves and national parks over the past seven years.
Jason studied film and acting in Johannesburg before he completed his guide training in 2011, worked as a guide at Sabi Sands Game Reserve in Mpumalanga.
Allison qualified as a guide, working at the Phinda Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal in 2013, when she met Jason.
The couple moved to Timbavati Private Nature Reserve at Hoedspruit in 2015, where Jason continued as a guide and Allison became Assistant Manager. This was followed by a spell at Katavi National Park in Tanzania as lodge managers and guide trainers.
They joined Wilderness Safaris Rwanda in March this year, assisting with management and guiding at Bisate Lodge and Magashi Camp. On October 1 they started their full-time management roles at Bisate. Jason will be involved in the general maintenance of the camp and its reforestation programme and Allison will be involved in administration.
They will also support Bisate’s community and conservation projects.
